‘World Diabetes Day’ is held on 14th November every year. There are three and a half million people in the UK who have already discovered that they have diabetes, and that number is rising; but it’s not just a British problem, diabetes is spreading across the world. In 1991 it was decided that there should be a special day to remind people everywhere that diabetes exists, and to try and stop the number of people with diabetes from rising still further.
